Dear Friends and Neighbors,

The welcomed noises of birds and scents of spring are at full force at this time. It’s a pleasure to see our green spaces and preserves come alive after a winter hiatus!

I wanted to extend greetings to all the residents who celebrate, a very Blessed Holi. It is a Hindu celebration of Love, commemorated by festive gatherings and color festivals. The Cranbury Library will be holding it’s first Holi celebration in April.

Today marks the second day of Ramadan and I wish those observing, a very Happy Ramadan or Ramadan Mubarak! This month of fasting builds self-discipline, prescribes charity and connects one to their faith.

At our township meeting last night we received an informative presentation from the EDAC, an economic advisory commission that is now on a pause. They conducted a business and resident survey during the end of last year and the results for the resident’s survey were shared with us last night. There were many great findings and I wanted to share a few. Residents love the “small town feel” and encourage the swift repair of any unsightly areas. Residents are enjoy our parks and green spaces and would like to see more events taking place there. Resents are also looking for unique businesses to come to town, like a bagel store. Thank you to members of the 2023 EDAC for preparing this survey and a warm thank you to the residents for participating!

In the spirit of preserving the “small town feel,” here’s a gentle reminder that our vehicles need to slow down on our roads. A few recent accidents are reminders of this. Additionally, with the previous windy days, much garbage and recycling items have blown into the streets. Let's please pick up what’s around our homes before these items find their way into our streets, streams and parks.
