April 4 (Saturday) at 1 PM Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Village Park (Rain or Shine), open to Age 3 – Third Grade. Please bring a basket. This event is sponsored by the Woman’s Club of Cranbury and The Elms of Cranbury.
April 10 (Friday) The Cranbury Public Library Foundation will be offering an opportunity to join Amol Sinha, Executive Director of the ACLU of NJ, for a discussion on the role and importance of libraries and the broader challenges they’re facing nationally.Cranbury Library starting at 7:00PM. ANIMAL LICENSING - 2026

- All Dogs & Cats in Cranbury must be licensed by January 31st to avoid late fees. Rabies vaccination must be valid through October 31, 2026 and included with your application.
- 2026 Dog and Cat Applications are available on the Township’s website and at Town Hall – Click here for the applications.
- *NEW* Online Registration and payment can be made through GovPilot. Visit here to sign-up!
- If paying online, an online payment link will be sent to you via email after application submission and approval. Your license is not issued until after payment is received.
- If you no longer have your pet, please notify the Township at twpclerk@cranbury-nj.com for the system to be amended to avoid receiving a summons for an unlicensed pet.
- Animal Licenses obtained after January 31st will be charged the following for February: $16 for a spay/neutered animal; $19 for a non-spayed/non-neutered animal. Licenses not obtained by **March 1st will receive a first offense violation summons from the Board of Health Officer with a fine of $50.00. Licenses not obtained by ***April 1st will receive a second offense violation summons from the Board of Health Officer with a mandatory court appearance and a fine of not less than $75.00 or more than $150.00.

The Woman’s Club of Cranbury is offering a $3,000 scholarship for a woman returning to school and pursuing post secondary education after experiencing some time away from attending school. The deadline for applying is April 30, 2026. The application for this scholarship can be found here.

Kindergarten Registration-To begin the registration process the pre-registration website. Students must be 5 years old by October 1, 2026. If you have not informed the school that you will have a child attending Kindergarten in the Fall, please email registration@cranburyschool.org or you can call the school (609) 395-1700 ext. 1224.

Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI), Bird Flu Outbreak Being Monitored Throughout the State-Report Sick or Dead Birds Using the Wild Bird Disease Reporting Form
Middlesex County has issued a more comprehensive report and guidelines on this outbreak. You can find the report on the township website under the Board of Health or click the link.
If you observe sick or dead birds, particularly in groups of five or more, please report your findings using the Wild Bird Disease reporting form: click here.
Typical signs of HPAI include diarrhea, discharge from the nose, coughing, sneezing, and incoordination, but some birds may show no signs before death. While HPAI can infect humans, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has declared that the ongoing HPAI outbreak is primarily an animal health issue that poses low risk to the health of the general public.
