Dear Cranbury Residents,

I’m getting excited for this weekend’s Memorial Day parade on Monday starting at 1:00 p.m.!  The Township Committee members will be walking, and we look forward to this annual tradition.

At last night’s Township Committee meeting, we honored the retirement of Construction Official Greg Farrington, who will be retiring after 25 years with the township – best of luck to Greg and his family!  We also heard from the Municipal Alliance on the great work they’re doing for our community. We also approved a new streamlined volunteer service project form, replacing an eight-page document with a three-page fillable .pdf.  Also, today’s Mayor’s Update premieres a new look for new streamlined communications that will “batch” announcements into weekly bulletins like this.

RECYCLING REMINDER: Thanks to everyone who is diligent with their recycling. Please make sure your recycling is in bins that can be dumped into the recycling trucks; plastic bags are not accepted to the crew and cause delays. Also, cardboard should be tied up or somehow contained; individual pieces make additional work for the crews.  Finally, only #1 and #2 plastics are permitted (the number in that tiny triangle) and make sure your recycling is clean and not food-stained. You can always check out the recycling information to refresh your knowledge.

SUMMER RECREATION CAMP: Registration is OPEN for summer recreation camp. Due to the school construction, there will not be Arts Council Camp this summer, but the Summer Recreation Camp will be happening June 26 through August 11!  Three camps available for all ages, with pool visits and amazing field trips weekly.

NEWCOMER STARTER PACK. If you’re new in town, make sure you register students for school, subscribe to the library newsletter, and sign up these Township e-news. Please pass this on to any new neighbors.

NEW! Notary Services are now available at Cranbury Public Library. To learn more or book your appointment, please visit https://cranburypubliclibrary.org/notary-services.  Thanks to the library staff who were recently trained as notaries to provide this service!
