The Board of Health, the Recreation Commission, and the Cranbury Library have partnered to host a monthly series on health and wellness. Meditation, nutrition, exercise, Feldenkreis study of movement, outdoor activities in Cranbury and yoga are some of the topics that presenters will be covering. These 30-minute to 1-hour sessions begin on February 24th at 7PM, and after that will be presented on the third Wednesday every month starting at 7PM. Some of these will be active sessions, and some will be informational.
The first Wellness session will be discussion of nutrition and the immune system, presented by dietetics interns. The discussion will involve basics of the immune system, immune support vs. boost, some of the nutrients and nutrition related behaviors that support immune health. Practical meal and snack ideas will be presented, and there will be a question-and-answer period following the presentation.
