Aside from yesterday’s wintery mess, February is offering us much to recognize and celebrate! This month starts Black History month where we honor and remember important African Americans and their memorable contributions to this nation. Lunar New Year or Chinese New Year has brought us the year of the Dragon, symbolizing power, nobility, honor, good fortune, and success. A little closer to home, many are celebrating a very Happy Valentines day and Presidents Day shortly after. The respect and joy in our community is only enhanced by events like these!

At Monday night’s township meeting, Cranbury Housing Authority offered us an informative presentation on the history of the CHA, it’s approach to building affordable housing and its commitment to Cranbury Township. The committee voted to approve funds from the Community Development Block Grant to support the CHA’s efforts towards renovations, and we thanked them for their dedication to Cranbury.

Also, at Monday nights meeting, I reported out on the immense success of the Cranbury School Jazz Band as well as the Princeton High School Jazz Bands at the National Jazz festival in Philadelphia. Cranbury residents, Owen Barry and Dylan Mckenzie were both awarded 3 medals each; 2 judges awards and one superior musician award! Congratulations to each of these stars, their instructors and band members!

February 26 (Monday)- De-mystifying local government presented by Committee Member Michael Ferrante at the scheduled Township Committee Meeting.

Kindergarten Registration
The Cranbury School Kindergarten Registration for the 2024-2025 school year is officially open to parents. Access the online registration portal which will be located on our website.
