Minutes: 03-22-07
Attendance: Beth Veghte, Rich Grubb, Ken Jacobs, Ed Sekelsky, Jane Helstrom
The meeting was called to order at 7:15 p.m.
OLD BUSINESS
1. Recreation Master Plan
Beth asked everyone to review and report back with any input.
2. Sr. Exercise Program
No report.
3. Sr. Programs
Beth reported that no one signed up for dance. The Tia Chi has a good turnout. Beth would like Ken to set up Yoga.
4. 2007 Concerts
Ken reported that the first concert will be on June 29th, there will be one kids, one country and Ken Lelen.
5. Budget
Ken to get a copy of the updated budget.
6. Field Usage
Beth stated that Vinnie from the soccer club said that he told the commission in December that they had two teams that did not have residents on them. The commission agreed that he only stated one team. The commission denied the second team “Renegades” permission to use the fields.
7. Scholarships
Ken to look into.
8. Request for rooms
Ken will send a letter to the school requesting class rooms.
9. Spring Programs
No report.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Golden Agers
No report.
2. Senior Fellowship
No report.
3. Park Update
Beth stated that they will be having a dedication for Judy Dossin; it will be called Judy’s Meadow. Park’s got only enough money for 1 or 2 benches for Village Park.
4. Battle of the Bands
A date needs to decided and this will be discussed more at the next meeting.
5. Other
Nothing to report.
The meeting adjourned at 8:07 pm.
