The Board of Recreation Commissioners was established by the Township Committee in 1961. The Board is responsible for providing, conducting and supervising recreational activities in the Township. This body is also empowered to adopt and enforce rules concerning to use of Brainerd Lake for sport activities.
The Board consists of seven regular members and two alternates who are residents of Cranbury. They are appointed by the Mayor to serve five year terms. Vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired term of office so vacated.
Unless noticed otherwise, meetings are held on the third Thursday in the Gourgaud Gallery, starting at 6:30 p.m. except in January and July.
