Police Department

• Cranbury Township is approximately 13 square miles. The residential population is approximately 3,200 people. With the business population, the figure is approximately double.
• We are located just outside Princeton, New Jersey, halfway between New York City and Philadelphia.
• Our department is composed of seventeen (17) sworn officers, one (1) secretary / matron, and seven (7) school crossing guards.
• The majority of our officers have six years or less service with our department. All of our new officers have come from other police departments or have attended the police academy via the alternate route program.
• Many of our officers have bachelor degrees, and some are working on their masters degrees.
• We have one officer who is a certified paramedic, and there are three emergency medical technicians.
• The Hightstown Borough Police Department provides dispatching services for our department.
