Community Service and Scholarship Opportunity for PHS Students

The Helene Cody Scholars Program will match successful applicants with a mentor to complete a community service project that betters the local community. They will attend monthly leadership training sessions and have the opportunity to present a poster outlining their project at a community networking event at the end of the school year. This is a great opportunity for youth who would like to pursue community service and lead a project that will positively impact their community. Students who successfully complete their project will be awarded with the title of Helene Cody Scholar and will be in the running for a $1000 college scholarship.

The application is available through June 4th, 2017. Successful applicants will be notified on or about June 15th, 2017. Eligible applicants are rising sophomores, juniors or seniors at Princeton High School. More information about the program and the application can be found at the following link:

The mission of the Helene Cody Foundation is to inspire youth to volunteer to better their communities, and themselves. The Helene Cody Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization which was initiated following the unexpected death of Helene Cody. Helene was a vivacious athlete who worked to bridge people together by overlooking differences and maintaining a positive attitude.
