HUMAN SERVICES BOARD

MIDDLESEX COUNTY

TIME AND PLACE OF MEETING

The regular meeting of the Cranbury Township Human Services Board was held in Town Hall on May 15, 2007, at 9:00 a.m.

CALL TO ORDER

With a quorum present, Rosemary Seghatoleslami, Chairwoman of the Cranbury Township Human Services Board, called the meeting to order and acted as the Chairwoman thereof, and Kristen H. Hamilton acted as Recording Secretary of the meeting.

MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE

John Ritter, Phyllis Bialor, Howard Zogott, Sally Shakun and Rosemary Seghatoleslami.

NON-MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE

Betty Conover.

MINUTES

The minutes of the April 17, 2007, meeting were reviewed and approved.

WORK SESSION

Cranbury Senior Community Center – Kristen has ordered a folding table for the Board’s approval.  She will email everyone when it arrives.

            Kristen will order 24 of the folding chairs that Rosemary found on the internet.

            Kristen has made a couple of contacts regarding the donation of a piano. 

            Howard will work on programs for a September 15, 2007, opening.

            John and Rosemary will meet and compile a list of parameters for the room for the Township Attorney so a “Room Use Policy” can be established.

            Once the parameters for the room are established, Howard and Sally will organize how volunteers should be solicited. 

            Betty questioned if a “panic button” should be installed.

DISCUSSION

            Howard provided information on the opening of “Senior Spaces” at the Old Bridge Library.  It will be interesting to see how Old Bridge used the $20,000.00 grant they received.

ADJOURNMENT OF MEETING

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:00 a.m.
