HUMAN SERVICES BOARD

MIDDLESEX COUNTY

TIME AND PLACE OF MEETING

The regular meeting of the Cranbury Township Human Services Board was held in Town Hall on March 20, 2007, at 1:00 p.m.

CALL TO ORDER

With a quorum present, Rosemary Seghatoleslami, Chairwoman of the Cranbury Township Human Services Board, called the meeting to order and acted as the Chairwoman thereof, and Kristen H. Hamilton acted as Recording Secretary of the meeting.

MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE

John Ritter, Marie Dey, Phyllis Bialor, Joe Colombo, Jay Hansen, Warren Perrine, Sally Shakun, Howard Zogott and Rosemary Seghatoleslami.

NON-MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE

Betty Conover.

MINUTES

The minutes of the February 20, 2007, meeting were reviewed and approved.

WORK SESSION

Cranbury Senior Community Center – After much discussion, it was decided:

· Kristen will order 20 of the same type of armchair already in the room.

· Rosemary will ask Tom Witt to contact Comcast to inquire about a cable connection.

· Kristen will work with Crate and Barrel in finding furnishings and will be responsible for finding appropriate window and door coverings.

A motion was made by Rosemary; seconded by Phyllis; to purchase four folding card tables for the room and to keep the rectangular tables already in the room.  John and Joe objected and feel that sturdier tables are needed.  It was decided that Marie, Phyllis and Rosemary will search for non-folding square tables.

A motion was made by Phyllis; seconded by John; all in favor, to hold the grand opening of the Senior Community Center on June 16, 2007, 2:00 p.m.

Phyllis questioned if non-Cranbury residents can utilize the center. 

Betty feels that the sign needs an addition to read “Handicapped Accessibility in Rear”.

Betty advised that her son is willing to donate a television and DVD player.

ADJOURNMENT OF MEETING

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 2:50 p.m.
