APPLICATIONS
ZBA 088-05 Sal & Jean
Golisano
Block 28, Lot 13
4 Prospect Street
Bulk Variance for Shed
& Driveway
REPRESENTATIVES: Salvatore & Jean Marie Golisano
Mr. & Mrs. Golisano were sworn and proper notice had been given in
which to hear the matter. Mr. Golisano
explained the application that they intended to place a prefabricated shed 2
feet away from the rear and side property line, giving enough room for a lawn
mower to make it through. The shed would
be 10' x 16' x 7' high “Cottage” style white with black shingles. There would be 16ft from the driveway to the
shed.
The applicants were also proposing to reconfigure their driveway. They proposed to straighten the driveway and
allowed to remove the sick oak tree.
Presently they would construct a single driveway, until such time that
the oak tree is removed. Meanwhile, they
would remove all the asphalt to the front of the house.
EXHIBIT
A-1 Picture of the rear view of the property
Mr. R. Johnson asked if the pool could be removed. Mr. Golisano explained that the pool had been
there for 19 years. Mr. Smith indicated
that a pool of 19 years if moved may not go back together and that would only
give a difference of 2.5 ft to 3 ft.
Mr. Golisano said they could put shrubbery between the shed and the
property line to avoid mowing.
Mr. McCarville asked where the 10 ft setback came from. Mr. Smith said it originated from the past
due to fire, allowing a 20 ft to avoid fire jumping from shed to shed.
Mr. Golisano said fencing around the rim of the pool came out a few
inches.
There were no comments from the public.
The Board asked about the possibility to move the new portion of the
driveway over 1 ft from the property line.
Mr. Smith said “any new construction” would be 1 ft over.
Mr. Smith indicated that the Board needed a drawing from the applicant
so that the engineer could understand the relationship to what was said tonight
as a condition of the resolution.
There were no public comments.
The straw vote was favorable.
Mr. Green read the resolution aloud.
There were some changes made.
