Cranbury Township
Recycling Shed
Matching funds were received from the Middlesex County Division of Solid Waste Management to operate a recycling shed in Cranbury Township. The shed opened in March 2009 and houses e-waste that is normally collected through the Electronic Drop-off Program.
Bring your unwanted computer equipment, including monitors, scanners, CPU’s, modems, printers, cables or keyboards, as well as televisions, telephones, irons, CDs and DVDs, to the DPW Yard at 100 Dey Road. In addition, plastic bags HDPE #2 and LDPE #4 bags are collected at major local super markets in the large deposit bags located near the entrances. #2 bags are the plastic bags used by grocery stores. #4 plastic is usually what new electronic items are wrapped/packed with. Be sure to look for these specific symbols before bringing bags to be recycled.
Shed Hours: 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm on the first Friday of every month, except legal holidays.
Location: DPW Yard, 100 Dey Road.
Here are a few simple guidelines to keep the program running smoothly. This drop-off recycling service is for Cranbury residents only. The shed will be manned while open and proof of residency will be required when disposing your unwanted goods. A tally of dropped-off goods must be taken as Cranbury Township is required to be accountable for each item that is delivered to the E-waste vendor. No hazardous waste, paint or tires will be collected at this site. We ask that you drop your recyclable household batteries (rechargeable only) during normal business hours at the DPW Office located on the 2nd Floor of Town Hall.
