The meeting was called to order at 8:00
p.m.
Review of Minutes:
02-23-06 – The minutes from 02-23-06 were approved a motion made
by Mario Fiorentini and seconded by Richard Grubb. The vote was 3-0 in favor. Motion carried.

Closing & Maintenance
Beth has asked if Public Works was going to fence in the
game field, Michele said that Tom Witt told Jerry no to do it. Beth will contact Wayne Wittman regarding the
fence. Rich, Bob and Ed will rotate for
field closings.

Use/Priority
Rich got tax maps of the properties on the other side of
Route 130 for possible practice fields.
Bob and Rich will go and look at the properties and Rich will do a
presentation to us next month.
5. Millstone
Fields
All permits have been issued with the exemption of the
Little League. Bob stated that the
Little League has practices scheduled on Millstone. No permits have been issued. Michele will contact Jeff at the Little
League.

Beth and Wayne will be meeting with school regarding
usage of the fields and the school.

Beth stated the bike path is just about done. The signage is not up yet. Beth said that we will be ordering signs that
match the park signs.

NEW BUSINESS
1. John Bell –
Kinsey Assoc.
John did a presentation to the Commission about turf
fields. John indicated that the fields
in Cranbury were great. He explained how the fields are constructed, how they
are maintained and the costs for turf fields and lights.

3. Ed Sekelski – Bob
O’Meara recommended Ed to the Commission for Keith’s replacement. Ed is very involved in soccer, baseball and
basketball. Ed stated he would enjoy
being part of the recreation commission.
4. Golden Agers
Nothing to report.
5. Senior
Fellowship
Beth stated that she received a letter from Connie Bauder
with a copy of the expected expenses for this year. The recreation commission gives them $3000
already, Betty is asking for the additional $1000 to cover the cost for this
year. Ken suggested that the church pay
for the expenses that there contribution would cover and then recreation will
pay the remaining amount directly for this year. Beth suggested that recreation should pay for
the exercise classed directly. Mario
asked if the Golden Agers will have a problem with us given the Senior
Fellowship more funds then them, everyone agreed that they probably will. Mario suggested possibly asking Plainsboro’s
if Cranbury residents can join there senior program. Ken will look into. Ken will look into where

The township committee appointed a committee to do the
Barn Bark. The committee will be looking
into grants and fund raising so the barns can be repaired. The potato barn could be used for events once
it is repaired.

It was requested by members of the commission to change
the time of the meetings from 8:00 PM to 7:00 PM. It was agreed all meetings will start at 7:00
PM. Michele will send the new time to
the newspapers.
A motion was made by Gene Buckley to vote Ed Sekelsky to
the Commission as 2nd Alternate and Bob O’Meara seconded it. All in favor.
The meeting adjourned at 10:25 p.m.
The next meeting is scheduled for April 27, 2006.
