TIME AND PLACE OF MEETING

            The scheduled meeting of the Cranbury Township Municipal Alliance Committee was held on April 12, 2007, in the Library meeting room, 23 North Main Street, in Cranbury Township at 8:15 a.m.

CALL TO ORDER

            Due to the absence of the Chairperson, Kristen H. Hamilton called the meeting to order and acted as Secretary of the meeting.

STATEMENT OF ADEQUATE NOTICE

            Pursuant to the Sunshine Law, adequate notice in accordance with the Open Public Meeting Act (N.J.S.A. 10:4-6) was provided on January 2, 2007, of this meeting’s date, time and place and the agenda was posted on the Township bulletin board, mailed to those requesting personal notice, and filed with the Municipal Clerk.

MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE

            Karen Henderson, Ed Kahler, Nancy Chambers, Fay Kobland, Mia Lindberg and Colleen Marsh attended the meeting.

STUDENT REPRESENTATIVES IN ATTENDANCE

            Leah Reiss.

MINUTES

            The Minutes of the March 8, 2007, meeting were reviewed and approved on a motion by Ed Kahler, seconded by Karen Henderson.  Nancy Chambers and Mia Lindberg in favor; Colleen Marsh and Fay Kobland abstained.

STUDENT REPRESENTATIVES’ REPORT

            Leah advised that they would like to see an eating contest at the Drug Free Fair.

            The Student Representatives are to make posters for the April dance advertising a disc jockey and giveaways.

POLICE REPORT

Ed Kahler provided a list of legal consequences for juveniles convicted of drug and alcohol offenses.

An article on graduation parties is being put in the Township newsletter. 

An article on binge drinking is going to be in the Cranbury Press. 

BUDGET

            Noting to report. 

OLD BUSINESS

Drug Free Fair – Plans are proceeding. 

5^th and 7^th Grade Parent Meetings – Nothing to report. 

Mailing in 8^th Grade Report Cards – Nothing to report. 

NEW BUSINESS

Possible Summer Activity – Due to the numerous requests that have been received in favor of holding another Band Night, this should be held as a summer activity as well as at least twice during the school year.

ADJOURNMENT OF MEETING

            There being no further business, on motion duly made, seconded, and carried, the meeting was thereupon adjourned.
