TIME AND PLACE OF MEETING
The scheduled meeting of the Cranbury Township Municipal Alliance Committee was held on February 8, 2007, in the Library meeting room, 23 North Main Street, in Cranbury Township at 8:15 a.m.
CALL TO ORDER
Chairperson Jane Holland called the session to order and acted as Chairperson thereof, and Kristen H. Hamilton acted as Secretary of the meeting.
STATEMENT OF ADEQUATE NOTICE
Pursuant to the Sunshine Law, adequate notice in accordance with the Open Public Meeting Act (N.J.S.A. 10:4-6) was provided on January 2, 2007, of this meeting’s date, time and place and the agenda was posted on the Township bulletin board, mailed to those requesting personal notice, and filed with the Municipal Clerk.
MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE
Jane Holland, Karen Henderson, Colleen Marsh, Carol Malouf, Fay Kobland, Ed Kahler, Nancy Chambers and Beverly Gerberich attended the meeting.
MINUTES
The Minutes of the January 11, 2007, meeting were reviewed and approved on a motion by Beverly Gerberich, seconded by Karen Henderson.
CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
A draft of the By-Laws was circulated for review. A vote will be taken on the By-Laws at the March meeting.
Jane advised that the GCADA budget for funding Alliances is being cut.
Jane provided information received on “A Portrait of the Typical School-Age Meth User”. This information may be reformatted to use as a handout for the Parent Tent at the Drug Free Fair.
POLICE REPORT
Ed Kahler provided a summary of incidents that occurred in 2006.
BUDGET
Noting to report since 2007 budgets have not yet been approved.
OLD BUSINESS
Band Night – Band Night is scheduled for February 24, 2007. Postcards have been sent. Nancy volunteered to purchase the food. Karen volunteered to help at the event.
Drug Free Fair – Plans are proceeding. The MA will cover the cost of the t-shirts and sponsor the Teen Tent and the Parent Tent.
NEW BUSINESS
Ordinance – The Township Attorney has revised the Municipal Alliance Ordinance to specify a membership of nine voting members and two alternate members. A draft of the Ordinance was circulated for review. Nancy made a motion to accept the Ordinance as presented; Colleen seconded; all approved.
ADJOURNMENT OF MEETING
There being no further business, on motion duly made, seconded, and carried, the meeting was thereupon adjourned.
