January 26, 2006, and February 23, 2006, were reviewed and approved on a motion
by Joan Rue; seconded by
Angie Cook.
OLD BUSINESS
Township Ordinance – The MA
reviewed the proposed revisions to the Township Ordinance. After much discussion, Angie made a motion to
approve the proposed changes; Colleen seconded; all in favor. Kristen will forward the proposed revisions
to the Township Committee for review.
Band Night – The high school
teen night held on Saturday, March 18, 2006, at the Cranbury Methodist Church,
was a success. A total of 70 paying
guests and 15 band members attended. The
event grossed $425.00 and cost $508.79.
The bands present expressed an interest in playing again for another
event.
NEW BUSINESS
Drug Free Fair – More middle
school involvement is needed at the Drug Free Fair. A teen tent should be set up with activities,
i.e. karaoke, bands, games. Susan will
call Hailey Walsh and/or William Waltrip to seek their opinions and ideas.
It was agreed that next year’s
budget should increase the donation towards the Drug Free Fair.
DISCUSSION
Due to the success of Band Night, it was agreed that additional events need to be planned so momentum is not lost. It is the hope of the MA to hold teen events once a quarter. Colleen will get information from Chris Orcutt on holding a summer event at Cranbury Swim Club.
Susan Paterson would like to see the “Wasted” program presented to the
middle school. Scheduling problems might
prohibit same.
Carol Malouf advised that Dr. Moore is no longer holding the boys’ chat
groups at Cranbury School. Kristen will
advise Susan Paterson of same and request that she find a replacement.
ADJOURNMENT OF MEETING
There being no further business, on
motion duly made, seconded, and carried, the meeting was thereupon adjourned.
