TIME AND PLACE OF
MEETING
The scheduled meeting of the
Cranbury Township Municipal Alliance Committee was held on February 23, 2006,
in the Library meeting room, 23 North Main Street, in Cranbury Township at
12:30 p.m.
CALL TO ORDER
Kristen Hamilton, Secretary of
Municipal Alliance, called the meeting to order
STATEMENT OF ADEQUATE
NOTICE
Pursuant to the Sunshine Law,
adequate notice in accordance with the Open Public Meeting Act (N.J.S.A.
10:4-6) was provided on January 4, 2006, of this meeting’s date, time and place
and the agenda was posted on the Township bulletin board, mailed to those
requesting personal notice, and filed with the Municipal Clerk.
MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE
Jane Holland, Colleen Marsh, Captain
Kahler, Angie Cook, Karen Henderson, Fay Kobland, Joan Rue, Howard Zogott and
Debi Mara attended the meeting.

NOMINATIONS FOR
CHAIRPERSON
The members present elected to defer
the nominations for Chairperson until the Township Ordinance is amended as
requested.
MINUTES
The members present elected to
postpone the approval of the December 15, 2005, and January 26, 2006, Minutes
until the Township Ordinance is amended.
MISCELLANEOUS
Review of Township Ordinance
– The Board reviewed the Ordinance and will forward the following requested
changes to the Township Committee:

The Municipal
Alliance Committee shall consist of a minimum of nine members, with at least
five members being required to render decisions on behalf of the Committee.
·
The members
appointed as representatives of the Cranbury Township Business Association
shall be appointed as “non-voting” members only.
OLD BUSINESS
·
A high school
teen night is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, March 18, 2006, at the
Cranbury Methodist Church. A motion was
made by Colleen, seconded by Debi, to expend up to $500.00 for the event. The vote was unanimous in favor of approval. It was agreed that students must present I.D.
and be allowed up to two out of town guests.
If a student leaves the premises, they will not be allowed to
return. Jane Holland will contact
student bands for entertainment. Jane
will also apprise Susan Paterson.
NEW BUSINESS
·
The Board
unanimously decided to change the meeting time to 12:00 Noon rather than 12:30
p.m. The Secretary will take the
necessary steps to facilitate the change.
ADJOURNMENT OF
MEETING
There being no further business, on
motion duly made, seconded, and carried, the meeting was thereupon adjourned at
1:30 p.m.
