MIDDLESEX COUNTY

TIME AND PLACE OF MEETING

The regular meeting of the Cranbury Township Human Services Board was held in Town Hall on March 15, 2006, at 7:00 p.m.

CALL TO ORDER

With a quorum present, Rosemary Seghatoleslami, Chairwoman of the Cranbury Township Human Services Board, called the meeting to order and acted as the Chairwoman thereof, and Kristen H. Hamilton acted as Recording Secretary of the meeting.

MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE

John Ritter, Jay Hansen, Jan Bayern and Rosemary Seghatoleslami.

MINUTES

The minutes of the February 15, 2006, meeting were reviewed and approved.

WORK SESSION

Social Services Report – Jan Bayern advised that she has followed up on the case mentioned in her February report. The Adult Protective Services of Middlesex County will provide required services.

Discussion –

Rosemary contacted the Middlesex County Human Services Board, which, in turn, forwarded a packet of information; however, it seems to mainly cover mental health and children’s services.

John Ritter advised that he would speak with the County representative, who will be at Town Hall tomorrow to answer Medicare Part D questions, about services available for seniors. He hopes to gather more information before scheduling an appointment to speak with the Middlesex County Human Services Board.

John provided information printed off of the internet, which will be useful in updating the Human Services Brochure.

Jan Bayern feels that information regarding tax credits should be included in the updated brochure.

John also provided a copy of the “Senior Links” which have been posted on the Township’s website.

John inquired of Jan Bayern exactly what her capacity is in handling incidents within the Township. After Jan’s explanation, John suggested that the school be advised of Jan’s availability as well as clergy and local attorneys.

It was agreed that the next Human Services Board meeting will be held on April 19, 2006.

ADJOURNMENT OF MEETING

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
