TIME AND PLACE OF MEETING

A special meeting of the Cranbury Township Historic Preservation Commission was held at the Town Hall, Cranbury, New Jersey, on June 29, 2006 at 3:00 p.m.

STATEMENT OF ADEQUATE NOTICE

Pursuant of the Sunshine Law, adequate notice in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act (N.J.S.A. 10:4-5) was provided on June 27, 2006 of this meeting’s date, time, place and agenda was mailed to the news media, posted on the Township bulletin board, mailed to those requesting personal notice and filed with the Municipal Clerk.

CALL TO ORDER

With a quorum present, Chair Bobbie Marlowe called the meeting to order, and, Linda M. Scott, Secretary for the Commission, performed as Secretary.

MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE

Diane Stasi, Alana Stops and Chair Bobbie Marlowe, were present.

The minutes were not reviewed but will be placed on the next meetings agenda.

APPLICATIONS

29 Station Road, (B21,L5) In Buffer Zone; Owner Kerry Jefferson was present for discussion of this application. Two recent details as of June 23, 2006 include the 5”x 3 ½” lineal as indicated on sheet ‘C’ received on May 12, 2006. Another detail is a sill 2” x 1 ¾“ spec sheet by Brockway-Smith Co. Kerry explained and presented a fax stating that the installed windows are not capable of having external grilles applied to them because the way the window open. Kerry visited the Liedtke Dr. homes. He will add the header, legs and sills to the front façade windows of his home. Diane visited the site (29 Station Road) and viewed the windows. She stated that the grilles between the glasses do have dimension, but they are not what HPC would have recommended. She appreciates the homeowners efforts working on the window trim. The half rounds have been eliminated, vinyl siding will fill this area and a decorative triangle proposed to be installed on the front peak is one solid decorative piece. He will email a picture design of this piece to the secretary. The columns will be tapered with a Tuscan (generic) base and cap.

A current photo of the structure was requested, that Kerry produced on his laptop. He will forward this picture to the secretary. A verbal vote to approve this application as present:

ADJOURNMENT OF MEETING

There being no further business, on motion duly made by Bobbie Marlowe, seconded by Alan Stops, and carried, the meeting was thereupon adjourned at 3:23 pm.
