Mr. Grundy of 3 Bunker Hill (B42,L01) has made application for a 10’x 12’shed to be constructed in the left rear corner of his property.  The double door Dutch barn style shed with a cupola will have white horizontal vinyl siding.  A citizen spoke of the shed location stating that it will be situated in a cluster other neighboring sheds.  HPAC approved this application, all in favor.

Architect Dick Schroeder was present to discuss Monroe Medical Supply Building (ZBA068-03)  (B18.02,L18) for the renovation of the exterior of this existing structure.  Plans include removal of the existing one front garage door to be replaced with windows.  A man door will be installed in place of the existing rear garage door.  Landscaping will be installed.  Windows will be replaced.  Vinyl siding will be installed over the existing concrete exterior.  The plans were reviewed.  HPAC approved this application with a comment that a simple stucco appearance is preferred.

Application made for Thomas Weidner, 28 North Main St., (B32,L10) regarding the re-roofing of the front porch on this Contributing (C) Historic District structure.  It is proposed to remove the existing shingled roof and replace it with a 1” standing seam copper roof.  HPAC discussed the 1” standing seam, all concur that this is not appropriate and suggested that a flat seam would be more appropriate for the age and style of this property.  Don Jo informed HPAC that the he and the homeowner discussed the flat seam issue prior to making application.  HPAC reviewed, discussed and denied this application.  HPAC would approve a flat seam copper roof.

Philadelphia Sign Co. of Palmyra NJ made application for Marriott Residence Inn (PB385-99) (B6,L14.02) for a new updated look to replace the existing signage.  Specs were reviewed for this one signage located on Rt. 130.  Application was approved, all in favor.

Kate McConnell’s resume was forwarded to HPAC for review.  Kate meets the requirements for the Class A vacancy.  Class A is defined as persons who are knowledgeable in building design and construction or architectural history.  She has expressed an interest being part of HPAC to Bobbie Marlowe.  HPAC welcomes this addition to the committee.

Secretary asked Richard Grubb for a copy of the Farm Survey Insurance Maps.  He was happy to be taken up on his pervious offer regarding the maps.  Richard stipulated that he would reproduce the colored maps found in at Princeton University.  HPAC will cover the cost of reproduction.

Bobbie emailed Trishka regarding Chapter 93.  There have been many pressing items that have taken priority, but the TC is committed to seeing the passage of Chapter 93.  Bobbie will email Trishka for an update of the time frame.

Bobbie and Diane will be attending a ‘Law of Easements in NJ’ seminar in East Brunswick on February 23, 2005.

Diane submitted photos from the walk of house on the Barclay Property (147 Plainsboro Rd.) on July 2, 2004.  These will remain in the HPAC file.

There being no further business, on motion duly made by Bobbie Marlowe, seconded Harry Williams, and carried; the meeting was thereupon adjourned at 9:00 pm.
