TIME AND PLACE OF MEETING
The regular meeting of the Cranbury Township Historic Preservation Advisory Commission was held at the Town Hall, Cranbury, New Jersey, on August 17, 2004 at 7:30 p.m.
CALL TO ORDER
With a quorum present, Bobbie Marlowe, Chair of the Cranbury Township Historic Preservation Advisory Commission, called the meeting to order and acted as the Chairman thereof, and, Linda M. Scott, acted as Secretary of the meeting.
STATEMENT OF ADEQUATE NOTICE
Pursuant of the Sunshine Law adequate notice in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act (N.J.S.A. 10:4-5) was provided on January 7, 2004 of this meeting=s date, time, place and agenda was mailed to the news media, posted on the Township bulletin board, mailed to those requesting personal notice and filed with the Municipal Clerk.

Richard Grubb, Diane Stasi, Harry Williams, and Bobbie Marlowe, Chair.
The minutes of the August 3, 2004 meeting were reviewed and amended, motion to approve by Bobbie Marlow, second by Harry Williams, all in favor.
Marie Wanat, owner 19 Liedtke Drive, B21.03, L2; Adrienne Kemp, friend was also present for this application. Marie would like to add three windows side by side on the south side elevation above a side door. Windows should be trimmed out as one unit and match all other windows. Roof will be standing seam metal as previously approved. Application approved by all.
Bill Gitting, architect; Lee Nissen, owner; were present to discuss changes to previously approved application of 14 Evans Drive, B33, L46; Bobbie Marlowe recused herself for this application. The plans dated 5/28/04 HPAC for this structure was previously approved with changes that include a teardown to the top of the first floor with new windows, façade and rebuild. Photos received 6/1/04 of the structure were viewed. Window manufacturer has been changed to Marvin Integrity style. Changes include raising the roof to total height to 24’ 9” from 22’ 7”. This will allow the floor structure cavity to accommodate the mechanics of this structure. Three sets of plans were presented by Bill, which was HPAC stamped, dated and signed on August 17, 2004. These updates were approved by committee.
John Perez, architect for 50 Maplewood Avenue was scheduled to come before HPAC to discuss ideas for the existing house. Secretary gave him file photos of structure as of 1989 and the written brief from the Heritage Studies. He did not call to cancel nor did he show. Secretary will call John and will try to reschedule him for the agenda. HPAC would recommend removing, if any, the siding and try to discern the shadow lines, such as a porch on this structure. Richard Grubb offered to review historic maps that he could access.
Bobbie called Kate Marcopul of the NJDEP regarding the façade easement at 147 Plainsboro Road. Kate indicated that many members of the department staff have been on vacation and that they will soon start the reviewing process. The slated property will be auctioned on October 7, 2004. Bobbie will call Richard or Trishka to give them a heads up on this situation.
Diane Stasi discussed Cape Mays Historic Ordinance and the strictness that it entails. She stated that under no circumstance could a homeowner remove any board, fence or detail without consulting the local government.

There being no further business, on motion duly made by, seconded, and carried, the meeting was thereupon adjourned.
