CRANBURY, NEW JERSEY
TIME AND PLACE OF MEETING
The regular meeting of the Cranbury Township Environmental Commission was held in Town Hall on November 20, 2006, at 7:00 p.m.
CALL TO ORDER
With a quorum present, James Gallagher, Chairman of the Cranbury Township Environmental Commission, called the meeting to order and acted as the Chairman thereof, and Kristen H. Hamilton acted as Recording Secretary of the meeting.
STATEMENT OF ADEQUATE NOTICE
Pursuant with the Sunshine Law, adequate notice in accordance with the Open Public Meeting Act (N.J.S.A. 10:4-6) was provided on January 4, 2006, of this meeting's date, time, place, and agenda, was mailed to the news media, was posted on the Township bulletin board, was mailed to those requesting personal notice, and was filed with the Municipal Clerk.
MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE
James Gallagher, James Applegate, Dietrich Wahlers, John Reinfelder and Barbara Rogers.
NON-MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE
The minutes of the October 16, 2006, meeting were reviewed and approved on a motion by Jim Applegate; seconded by John Reinfelder. Jim Gallagher and Dietrich Wahlers in favor; Barbara Rogers abstained.
At the request of the Township Clerk, the September 18, 2006, minutes were amended. All members were in favor of the change.
Stream-Corridor Ordinance – The EC reviewed the revised draft of the Stream-Corridor Ordinance and made some minor revisions. A motion was made by Dietrich Wahlers to accept the Stream-Corridor Ordinance as amended and forward it to the Township Committee. Jim Gallagher seconded the motion. Jim Applegate and John Reinfelder in favor; Barbara Rogers abstained due to her non-attendance at prior EC meetings where the Ordinance was discussed at length. The Secretary will make the revisions to the Ordinance and forward it to the Township Committee.
Preserve Management Plan - Jim Applegate advised that a grant application has been filed with the Natural Resources Conservation Service for the warm season grass project.
Cranbury Brook Water Sampling – Nothing new to report. Jim Gallagher will send an email to Bill Mikula for an update.
Dietrich Wahlers updated the EC on the findings of the Recreational Master Plan Subcommittee, which include the possible reconfiguration of Millstone Park and the identification of future park space.
Information for the Township newsletter must be submitted by December 15, 2006.
The EC discussed Robert and Barbara Dillon’s November 14, 2006, letter to the NJ Department of Environmental Protection. Dietrich Wahlers noted that the Stonybrook Millstone Watershed Association has a Cranbury section on its website.
Future EC projects and possible Boy Scout projects will be discussed at the December 18, 2006, meeting.

There being no further business, the meeting was thereupon adjourned.
