CRANBURY TOWNSHIP
ENVIRONMENTAL COMMISSION
CRANBURY, NEW JERSEY
MIDDLESEX COUNTY
TIME AND PLACE OF MEETING
The regular meeting of the Cranbury Township Environmental Commission was held in Town Hall on December 17, 2007, at 7:00 p.m.
CALL TO ORDER
With a quorum present, James Gallagher, Chairman of the Cranbury Township Environmental Commission, called the meeting to order and acted as the Chairman thereof, and Kristen H. Hamilton acted as Recording Secretary of the meeting.
Pursuant to the Sunshine Law, adequate notice in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act (N.J.S.A. 10:4-6) was provided on January 2, 2007, of this meeting's date, time, and place; the agenda was mailed to the news media, posted on the Township bulletin board, mailed to those requesting personal notice and filed with the Municipal Clerk.

James Gallagher, Tom Patterson, Andrew Johnson, Dietrich Wahlers and Paul Mullen.
NON-MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE
Anna Drago.
MINUTES
The minutes of the November 19, 2007, meeting were reviewed and approved on a motion by Jim Gallagher; seconded by Paul Mullen. Dietrich Wahlers abstained; all others in favor.
Preserve Management Plan – Three signs will be dropped off by the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), which can be placed at the property. The NRCS gave Jim the locations of similar projects if the EC wants to view same.
Stormwater Management Plan – Dave Stout advised Dietrich that the recommendations made by the EC would be looked at in 2008.
2008 Appointments –A notice should be put on the Township’s website and in the Township’s newsletter advising of the openings for two alternate members.
2007 Year End Report – The EC reviewed the 2006 Year End Report and went over what will be put in the 2007 report. Kristen will draft a letter and send to Jim for review.
2008 Goals – The EC went over goals for 2008. Kristen will draft a letter and send to Jim for review.

Zoning Board Resolution #102-05
Kristen will send an email to the Chair of the Zoning Board asking for a meeting to discuss the application at his earliest convenience. Jim, Dietrich and Andy will be available for the meeting.
Dietrich was advised by Freehold Soil that it is issuing monetary penalties against the Holland House until the violations are complied with.
A Notice of Violation has been received from the Department of Environmental Protection for the lake project.
Jim advised that he spoke with Timothy H. Hand of DMJM Harris regarding his latter dated November 2, 2007, referring to the New Jersey Turnpike Widening. Jim questioned the mitigation recommendations and was advised that it includes obtaining land along the stream corridor. The EC will send a letter to Mr. Hand making recommendations.
Kristen will obtain a copy of the ERI for all members and order more soil testing kits.
Anna Drago wished to thank the EC members for their time and dedication.
ADJOURNMENT OF MEETING
There being no further business, the meeting was thereupon adjourned.
