TIME AND PLACE OF MEETING
The regular meeting of the Cranbury Township Environmental Commission was held in Town Hall on March 19, 2007, at 7:00 p.m.
CALL TO ORDER
With a quorum present, James Gallagher, Chairman of the Cranbury Township Environmental Commission, called the meeting to order and acted as the Chairman thereof, and Kristen H. Hamilton acted as Recording Secretary of the meeting.
STATEMENT OF ADEQUATE NOTICE
Pursuant with the Sunshine Law, adequate notice in accordance with the Open Public Meeting Act (N.J.S.A. 10:4-6) was provided on January 2, 2007, of this meeting's date, time, place, and agenda, was mailed to the news media, was posted on the Township bulletin board, was mailed to those requesting personal notice, and was filed with the Municipal Clerk.

James Gallagher, John Kobland, John Reinfelder, Thomas Patterson, Andrew Johnson, Barbara Rogers and Paul Mullen.
NON-MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE
The minutes of the February 12, 2007, meeting were reviewed and approved on a motion by John Reinfelder; seconded by John Kobland. James Gallagher, Thomas Patterson and Andrew Johnson in favor; Barbara Rogers and Paul Mullen abstained.

Preserve Management Plan – The grant has been received from the Natural Resources Conservation Service. Jim will review the terms and inform the Commission.
Cranbury Brook Water Sampling – Completed.
John Kobland has not been able to obtain any information on the Stonybrook-Millstone Watershed Association’s education programs.
Jim just received a copy of the draft Stream-Corridor Ordinance from Richard Preiss for review.
Jim found information on the “Highlands Act”; however, it does not affect our area.
Paul advised that the Library is sponsoring a program on April 14, 2007, “National Climate Action Day”, and will have speakers, presentations and handouts. He asked if the EC would like to participate. It was suggested that soil testing kits be available as well as maps and a copy of the ERI. Paul can prepare handouts and distribute for the EC’s approval.
Barbara spoke with Anneli TerryNelson of the Stonybrook-Millstone Watershed Association regarding “National River Clean Up Week”. Barbara volunteered to organize the event. The EC decided that the designated sites should be along Brainerd Lake, behind the sledding hill, behind the firehouse and along the road leading to the soccer fields. Barbara plans to get volunteers through Scouts. The Watershed supplies gloves and garbage bags and helps with publicity.

There being no further business, the meeting was thereupon adjourned.
