OF THE
BOARD
OF HEALTH MEETING
Time and Place of
Meeting: The September monthly meeting, held at the
In Attendance: William Hart, Board Chair; Bernice Shapiro,
Vice-Chair; John Jackson, Board Member; Michele Kemper;
Board Member; David E. Orron, Esq., Board Attorney; John Obryk, Registered
Environmental Health Specialist, Middlesex County Public Health Department; Mike
Donnelly, Middlesex County Public Health Department; and Kathleen Wasson, Board
Secretary. A concerned resident
attended.
Call to Order: With
a quorum present, Chairman Hart called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and
stated that adequate notice of the meeting’s date, time and place had been
provided to the public pursuant to the Open Public Meetings Act (N.J.S.A.
10:4-6 et seq.) by mailing to the media, posting on the Township
bulletin board and filing with the Town Clerk.
The Board proceeded with new business.
First order of business: July Meeting
Minutes
The July minutes were unanimously
approved; motion by John Jackson, second by Bernice
Shapiro.
Second order of
business: Public Health Report
The Board members received the monthly reports for July and
August, 2004. John Obryk
reviewed the substance of the reports for the Board. John will reinspect
the snack bar at Cranbury Swim Club, because they did not fix the things he
cited the last time – there was mold growing under the sink from a drip, and
there were no paper towels. John told the
Manager, Paul Mucciarone, that he will not allow the
snack bar to open next year unless a three compartment sink is installed in the
kitchen. John believes the issue
previously reported, about a resident’s concern that his neighbor’s dog’s feces
could contaminate his property, is over - he has not heard anything else on
this. The grass has been cut at
Third order of business: Environmental
Report
There are no written
reports for July and August, due to a problem in Mr. Donnelly’s office. Mr. Donnelly reviewed the substance of the monthly
report activity for the Board. He will
forward the reports to the Secretary for distribution to the Board
members. Plan Review: 92 and
Fourth order of
business: Old Business
Bernice Shapiro has read over the material on the Wright South baseball
field soil mixing issue. She believes
that the Environmental Commission recommendation is sound. The Secretary will distribute copies of the
material to the Board members for consideration at the next meeting.
Fifth order of
business: New Business
None.
Adjournment: There
being no further business before the Board, Chairman Hart stated that she would
entertain a motion to adjourn. The
motion was made by Bernice Shapiro and seconded by Michele Kemper. The vote was unanimous in favor of adjournment
and the meeting was concluded at
